2ND ECONOMIC CONGRESS IN SKWIERZYNA - the potential of small municipalities in focus
On 28 October 2026, Skwierzyna became the venue for important discussions about the economic future of the region. The 2nd Economic Congress brought together entrepreneurs, local government representatives and representatives of institutions supporting development, creating a space for exchanging experience and seeking common directions for action.
This year's slogan, „The economic potential of small municipalities – all it takes is to try”, continued the question posed during the first edition: „The economic potential of small municipalities – myth, or all it takes is to try?”. The lectures and debates were devoted to the possibilities of using local potential, supporting entrepreneurs and creating conditions conducive to new investments.
Tomasz Pisarek – President of the Management Board of K-S SSE S.A. took part in the debate „How not to let a crisis go to waste?”, devoted to the development of the defence industry and to the defence and economic security of the region. The panel also included Sylwia Wojtasik – President of the Regional Development Agency, Tomasz Nesterowicz – Deputy Voivode of Lubuskie, Gen. (ret.) Jarosław Mika – former Commander General of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, Maj. Gen. (ret.) Dr Roman Polko and Col. (ret.) Szczepan Głuszczak – Supply Chain Director at Hanwha WB Advanced System.
The zone was also represented by Andrzej Kail – Director of the Marketing and Promotion Department, his deputy Iwona Sztuka and employees of the marketing department. The K-S SSE S.A. promotional stand was a place for meetings and conversations about support for new investments and opportunities for cooperation.
We thank the organisers and participants for a valuable meeting and an inspiring exchange of experience. We believe that the discussions held and the contacts made will translate into joint action for the development of the local economy.
