A NEW SPACE FOR SPORT AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN SŁUBICE

On 8 September 2026, a new sports and recreation complex was officially opened in Słubice at the Centrum Kształcenia Zawodowego i Ustawicznego (Centre for Vocational and Continuing Education), together with a recreational pitch and a modern playground at the Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy (Special School and Educational Centre). It is an exceptional space that will give young people even better conditions for activity and for developing their passions and sporting talents.

The facility was officially opened by Leszek Bajon, Head of the Słubice County, Małgorzata Kościńska, Director of the CKZiU in Słubice, and Sylwia Czapla, representative of the Regional Education Authority (Kuratorium Oświaty) in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

The event was attended by numerous guests, including Władysław Komarnicki, Senator of the Republic of Poland, Marzena Słodownik, Mayor of Słubice, Tomasz Prozorowicz, Head of the Sulęcin County, Marcin Jabłoński, Councillor of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Izabela Piotrowicz, Deputy Mayor of Gorzów Wielkopolski, as well as representatives of the local government and councillors of the Słubice County.

The Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone was represented by Agnieszka Matuła-Dziduch and Katarzyna Dombek from the Marketing and Investor Services Department, who, on behalf of the Management Board of K-S SSE S.A., presented a letter of congratulations and sports balls, with wishes that the new space serve young people as well as possible.

The whole event was enhanced by beautiful dance and vocal performances by young people, who on that day were not only part of the artistic setting of the event, but above all its most important heroes. It is precisely with young people in mind, their development, passions and needs, that this space was created.

Physical activity is not only about health – it teaches consistency, perseverance, cooperation and coping with challenges. These are values that pay off also beyond the pitch.

We congratulate everyone on completing the investment and wish that the new complex serve children and young people as well as possible, supporting their development, sporting passions and activity.
