SCIENCE, BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT – COMBINING POTENTIALS
Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone S.A. has signed a cooperation agreement with the Poznań University of Life Sciences.
At the signing ceremony, Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone S.A. was represented by:
• Tomasz Pisarek – President of the Management Board
• Magdalena Hilszer – Vice-President of the Management Board
• Natalia Osten-Sacken – Investment Projects Manager
• Tomasz Ćwiek – Investment Projects Manager.
The University was represented at the ceremony by:
• Prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, PhD, DSc – Rector
• Prof. Piotr Goliński, PhD, DSc – Vice-Rector for Research.
This is a partnership that is, above all, intended to deliver concrete results for our investors, students and researchers. The cooperation will cover, among other things, research and development projects, technology transfer, expert activities, internship and placement programmes, joint research, conferences and symposia, as well as cooperation with the University's Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer.
Today, UPP is much more than the traditionally understood natural science and agricultural fields of study. The University's competences include, among others, biotechnology, food-tech, eco-energy, environmental engineering, wood technologies, IT and data analysis, as well as artificial intelligence and unmanned systems.
These are areas of great interest both to the current investors of K-S SSE S.A. and to new projects that we want to attract to the area managed by K-S SSE S.A.
Cooperation with universities also has a very practical dimension for us. Investors carrying out projects under the Polish Investment Zone very often choose cooperation with vocational schools and universities among the qualitative criteria.
We want to help them turn this commitment into valuable internships, R&D projects, research and access to future employees.
Because today the investment attractiveness of a region is determined not only by the site or the amount of state aid. We compete on the quality of the entire ecosystem – access to knowledge, technology and highly qualified staff.
