ECONOMIC COUNCIL OF ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY IN POZNAŃ
Vice-President of the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone Magdalena Hilszer took part in a meeting of the Economic Council of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, which was held at the UAM Nanobiomedical Centre – one of the most modern research centres in Poland, combining science, technology and cooperation with the economy
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the development of competences for the industry of the future, technology transfer, applied research and strengthening cooperation between universities and business. The UAM Economic Council plays an important role in building relations between the academic community and entrepreneurs, supporting the development of innovation and the adaptation of the educational offer to market needs.
Investments in modern technologies, R&D projects, the energy transition and the dual-use sector require today not only capital and infrastructure, but above all highly qualified staff and a strong scientific base – stresses Magdalena Hilszer.
Research and development activity is becoming one of the most important factors building the competitive advantage of enterprises. This is also confirmed by the experience of the Polish Investment Zone – the R&D component is among the qualitative criteria most often chosen by investors applying for a support decision in the KSSSE.
More and more companies see that developing their own research competences, cooperating with universities and implementing innovations are today key to the long-term growth and resilience of business.
Cooperation between universities, business and business support institutions remains one of the key elements in building the competitiveness of regions and creating conditions for the development of an innovative economy.
